Hi everyone! My name is Jaclyn Cossarini, I am currently in my fourth year majoring in History with a minor in Health Studies. This is my last semester here at Queen’s and I’m very excited to be entering the workforce. My plans as of now are to take a gap year and work at a non-profit in my hometown of Toronto. My post-graduate degree plans vary depending on the day, but I am considering a post-graduate diploma in Public Relations or Human Resources. I also plan to write my LSATs and apply to law schools after further education. Personally, I am very involved on campus, working at TAPS and as the Speakers Lead for TEDxQueensU. I am interested in learning more about employment relations to gain a more general knowledge of where my interests lie within the field, in order to better determine whether I should consider a career geared towards Human Resources or Public Relations. #empr200

Hi Jaclyn,
Thanks for posting your introduction post! It is always great to see students undertaking EMPR courses from diverse disciplines. I am excited to hear about your post-grad plans involving human resources or public relations – with that, have you considered looking into the Master of Industrial Relations? I would definitely suggest taking a look on the website https://mir.queensu.ca/! Hope you enjoy the course!

Hello Jaclyn!
I am taking this courses as an interest course. I definitely would like to learn more about the workplace as well, even though I have been in it for many years! I remember my last semester of university – it was so exciting with a new life on the horizon. It sounds like you are taking your time to figure out what your next steps will be. My only advice would be to follow your passion. Good luck with everything.
